Changes over the years.

Through the ages, bats have been the stuff of myths and legends, misunderstood and feared. But what are bats, and where did they come from? Some believe that bats came from mice and other rodents, others believe that they are their own species and were born with the skill to fly. For example, here the people say: The order Chiroptera, comprising all bats, has evolved the unique mammalian adaptation of flight, as there ancestors (the mice/rats) could not. And Ron Lyttle (who wrote the article "Bats and Evolution") says: "Bats are not rodents, although many people think of them as mice with wings, and indeed, the members of the genus Myotis (including the common Little Brown Bat, Myotis lucifugus) are called mouse-eared bats. But they only have one pup per year (a few have twins or up to four), and live twelve to thirty or more years, depending on the species.", here he clearly states that bats are not mice. As a matter of fact both sides are correct, no, bats are not rodents with wings TODAY, but originally bats did come from rodents and developed the ability to fly. So now you could and could not say that my "organism" (which is a bat) is a mouse or a rat with wings and has changed and developed so dramatically that it has become a new animal! Also, the Giant Golden Crowned Flying Fox himself has changed dramatically over the centuries. One of the main changes is his size, that's how it got its name,"Giant". In the past giant golden crowned flying foxes were just... flying foxes. Still the giant golden crowned flying fox already existed since years, that's why it is also called the," old-world fruit bat". To finish and prove my point bats WERE but now ARE NOT mice!
